Need a Gondola type ID
Author: calsubd

On the LaPlata cam yesterday there was a WB  BNSF train with what looked like Articulated gondola's (no end's)  with a Caterillar backhoe in the front Gondola, is this a BNSF MOW creation ?, TIA.

Sounds like a GREX SlotMachine: https://georgetownrail.com/Material-Handling/SlotMachine-and-SPS
I’ve seen the SlotMachine and the similar Herzog Multi-Pupose Machine on the BNSF around Chicago.

You saw a slot machine... they come in powered and unpowered versions. Namely a 10 unit long articulated low side gondola with a excavator used in all kinds of projects.
