KYLE east from Limon today
Author: ShortlinesUSA

Work has me in Denver for a while, and with a day off and nice weather, I decided to try my hand at the KYLE.  With what many a gambler would call beginner's luck, I rolled right up onto the train just getting things together to head east from Limon around 0930 this morning.  I saw another fan taking pics, and wondered if it was cozephyr by any chance.  It certainly was.  I still shoot slides, so this is just a cell phone pic, but he was working this train over from the ground and air, so maybe he'll post some better photos.  For me, it was a great way to enjoy a mild day in eastern Colorado.

Started 17 January 2019 at Arriba, Colorado, with westbound Kyle RR lettered Utah Railway 5004, rare MK50-3, at sunrise.  Great crossing paths with you in eastern Colorado.

Flagler Aviation Service N123AG took off from Flagler, CO, while waiting for eastbound Utah Railway 5004 17 Jan 2019.

Great photos, and thanks for adding those to the thread.  I also appreciate the "rest of the story" on the Tower.  It had me wondering.  I swung through there to figure if there was a decent way to work it into a photo.  Not that I saw from the ground, but taking to the air was indeed the answer.  Glad you racked up some good shots out there, as well.  I'll have my slides back in a matter of months, after I collect up enough rolls to send to the lab. ;-p
