Camping, soaking & trains #1.
Author: dag-id

Had an opporotunity to get away for a few days to rest and relax at Lava Hot Spring Idaho this last summer. Tubing the river during the day when it was warm and soaking in the hot pools in the late evening when it was cooler. Oh, and watching trains at the same time or while relaxing at camp.
Sorry, No professional shooting here! Just good times hanging with my family.

Out west of town on one of our steam trips we were shown a hot springs and there were some younger skinny dippers there. I think we really surprised them when we rolled by with our Challenger steam locomotive.

Looks like a great time.  I like "Frenchmen's Landing" at Prairie Du Chein, WI    The BNSF is so close it shakes the entire campground.   My non "railroad enthusiast" guest were less than impressed though.

Great area.  I drove through there this summer, based on a recommendation by Larry (of Ritzville fame), and although I didn't catch any trains, I did enjoy the drive.  Now, I need to go camp out there, sometime.

Very NICE series from one of my favorite places. Love those hot pools at Lava while watching trains go by on the hill. Great area!

We went there a few years ago and the railroad was pretty much non-stop action.

Thank you all for your kind reply's.
This place has become one of our favorite places to camp out.
Tried going to Lava this last weekend, but mother nature kept things pretty unsettled. Wind be the worst..
Be safe in your travels,
David
