I believe that structure is an Illudium Q-36 Explosive Space modulator utilized by Marvin the Martian.  Also, possibly, a Universal Multiphasic Gravitation Compensator described by Mr. Spock in Star Trek 3!

I loved all your postings here on TO's today.  Great photography!  I liked the #6 here with Pike's Peak in the distance.  These old searchlight signals have been dormant since the Rock Island Line went belly-up, but in this photo it nearly appears there is a "green" signal showing where there would normally be a red.  Probably either a reflection of the sun on the lens or the hood.  Whatever, thanks for the "bird" and the ground shots throughout your postings!

Several of us are really curious as to what that load on the flat bed may actually be.  Would you consider re-posting it with a 'what is this?" request.  (Serious responses only, of course!)

Thanks, great series of photos!

One of the local gang here insists that the flat bed load is a grain dryer....but it sure doesn't resemble any of the grain dryers that most of us have seen!
