Down the Gorge at Washougal, Sunday was partly cloudy until mid afternoon and snow started about 400 PM. But yesterday's 8-9" accumulation stayed all day.
Whoever wanted to brave the highways could have taken some spectacular photos today, of trains and the whole world.
In a brief trip Friday I could see how the fresh snow highlights the burn scars from last summer's fires on the Oregon side.
Even in the worst of the burn areas a few conifers survive.
Thanks as always Larry.

Wow, you did much better snow wise than we did on the East side. We only got about 2 inches of blowing snow with 40-50mph winds and COLD windchills(-10). Suppose to maybe get 3 inches more tonight and an inch tomorrow.

Larry -glad you caught 28. It (8/28) will be a daylight run across North Dakota. I wish it wasn’t Monday (busiest day of week for me). Otherwise it would be great to chase from Minot to Fargo.

Nice ones.  Amtrak looks neat in the blowing snow, and of course good to see the coal trains.   Looks like you got enough snow to cover up the grocery store parking lot again.
