Western Railroad Discussion > UP PRVCB Passenger Train Today

As posted by Zach below, UP ran a 7-car Roseville-Council Bluffs passenger symbol down Cajon this morning.  Behind 2743 were cars 207, Columbia River, 5779, Little Rock, Pacific Limited, City of Los Angeles, and Fox River.
 
Rather than heading east on the Sunset Route, the train instead went from the Mojave Sub into the yard at West Colton.  Below are three shots from some familiar locations, and thanks to everyone for the location reports today.

1.  Westbound at Hivolt on the Palmdale Cutoff.
 
2.  A frustrating shot at Dike from the Glen Helen Parkway overpass, where one specific cloud would not move.

Tremendous! Nice catch with the BNSF in the distance racing this one. 
 

Very nice.  Good to see some wider views that show the length of the train.

Great shots! Despite the clouds, I still like #2!

Great group of photos, Gary.  I particularly like #1 - it reminds me of the big curve on the BNSF at Cosnino, AZ for some reason.
