Help identifying this streamlined car
Author: CLM

I was looking through some of my pictures from a few years ago and I ran across these shots.  This might be a long shot, but I was curious what the name of this car is.  It is hard to read and looks to be seven letters long.  I have tried enlarging the pics but it doesnt help.  I dont see any other markings on the car.  It was on the eastbound Sunset Limited on April 10, 2004.  Location was the Cienega Creek bridge just east of Tucson.  Would love to hear what you guys think.

Looks like maybe Hialeah, a private car that is (was?) used to accompany high value freight rail shipments.

Correct.  That's the Hialeah, an ex-SAL 11 bedroom car built by PS in 1956.  That may have been one of the last times that it ran.  It's been stored in Salinas, CA for many years.  The owner recently died.
