Western Railroad Discussion > 5 Hour Work Windows on TehachapiDate: 03/11/19 09:59 5 Hour Work Windows on Tehachapi Author: spsniper A friend of mine saw a huge UP workforce at Caliente this weekend and they told him they were doing 5-hour work windows in the daytime
to replace rail above Cliff. Does anyone know more about this project and how it is affecting daytime traffic? He said it was pretty slow on Fri and Sat. Date: 03/11/19 11:51 Re: 5 Hour Work Windows on Tehachapi Author: espee99 Balast and rail trains have been running for the past few weeks, traffic is typically slow between 11 and 3 daily, almost dead on Monday before 4pm. You can visit trainnews and review the traffic logs in the Tehachapi section.

There was also on-track MofW equipment working north of there, but trains seemed to be getting by that.
