1. 2. & 3. UP 4658 is in command of an eastbound stacker sliding by a westbound autorack train ‘in the hole’ at Ramona, KS. Photos at 300, 300 & 210mm respectively. This is the ex-Rock Island ABS ~ train order Golden State Route main line, now operating in modern CTC ~ Track Warrant(?) times. Photo date: February 18, 2019. Thanks for looking! Lance Garrels santafe199 *For years, and with tongue firmly in cheek I’ve been playfully threatening to gather up all the ‘Murphy’s Railfan Laws’ I can think of and post them for TO consumption. Nice post once again disproving the flatness of Kansas.
That close to Hillsboro you should go pick-up some of the finest German smoked sausage in America. BB Edited 2 time(s). Last edit at 03/11/19 11:33 by bmarti7. Aha! I thought Uncle Pete had finally filled in the last CTC gaps. Where's Rusty when we need him... A slight modification to Murphy's law:"If you take a camera and wait long enough a train will appear, and a cloud will obscure the sun just as you release the shutter." The gap was scheduled to be filled in this year but that was before the PSR blitz came about... |
