Western mothballed where-is-it?
Author: trainjunkie

Not sure if this line is embargoed or railbanked, but pretty sure it's not yet abandoned. Has not seen a train since about 1998 or so. Line is relatively intact up to this point. Image was taken today, March 12, 2019. Any guesses on the railroad AND location?

Central California Traction north of Stockton?

Would be my guess as well, there's not a lot of other mothballed trackage laid with 70# rail.

Yes. North of Lodi actually, in Acampo. The line is cut at Liberty Road but from here down to Lodi it seems to be intact. Here's the view looking north from the same spot. Liberty Road is just past the bramble in the gauge. This portion of the line parallels North Kenefick Road between Woodbridge Road and Galt.
