It STILL looks like Uncle Pete owns the joint!

A few days ago I made mention of the fact I’ve been seeing quite bit of UP traffic on the BNSF Strong City Sub. ( https://www.trainorders.com/discussion/read.php?1,4745362,4745362#msg-4745362 ). Here’s another UP train taken a day after the one in this link. At 11:36 AM it would have been a decent sequence if Mr Sol had come out from hiding. But hey, it’s always good to scout out a new telephoto shooting angle. And rumor has it Spring a just down the track a little ways…

1. 2. & 3. UP 8809 is approaching my vantage point at 270, 220 & 75mm respectively. And…

4. …the DP unit, UP 8214 tags along faithfully as seen from the Upland Rd crossing a couple of miles WNW of Lost Springs, KS.

Looks like what is called a "grocery" train taking coal down to cement producers in Texas. Older hopper cars used in that service. Nice catch.
