Omaha NWS evacuated this afternoon due to a levee failure. They’ll be work8ng out of Hastings, NE. I don’t remember hearing of a NWS office having to evacuate before.

How is the UP dispatch  and operations "bunker" in Omaha making out?

I understand there's extensive flooding in the area

Bunker is well above river level, employees might have travel issues though.

There was a BNSF southbound stopped at Larkspur on the Joint Line today about noon with UPS on the rear end.  Wondered what was going on.  That must have been the ZDENCHI.  Unfortunaltely, I wasn't in a positiopn to get pictures.

After the floods of the mid 80's UP made some changes to make sure the bunker and the back up generators stay dry.
IIRC they used boats to ferry people to and from work for a few days.

We had boat races and a fishing tournament in my unit's parking lot at Offutt AFB. We had three feet of water in the lots. Still flew three Looking Glass flights a day though.

Was there a bridge washed out at Logan Iowa? If so was it the main line?

The Logan, Iowa bridge is on the CN/IC/CC&P/ICG/IC line. Don't know if it has wshed out. There is also a highway overpass and an old bridge there.
