Western Railroad Discussion > Western Royal LineDate: 04/19/19 14:20 Western Royal Line Author: Fred ill be railfanning Trinidad Loop next month, thought about dropping over to Royal City to check out this railroad of which I know nothing about, is their locomotive kept there and is it accessable for photography ? Will be there on a sunday figure they would not be operating.
Thanks for any help, Fred (Detroit, Mi). Date: 04/19/19 17:32 Re: Western Royal Line Author: scraphauler Power is usually in Royal City. Two SD45s - CCET 318 and LRY 331. Traffic sparce, running once or twice a week - right now milling company is doing a little wheat and a couple other companies getting liquid fertilizer in.
Date: 04/19/19 18:00 Re: Western Royal Line Author: Fred Thanks for that info. So the locos are not lettered for them, are the engines accessable or in an engine house ?
Can you tell me anything about the Yakima Central ? Appreciate any help, coming from Detroit limits my time in the area so I want to make the most of it. Fred Date: 04/19/19 18:50 Re: Western Royal Line Author: scraphauler Believe they are photographable. Both in MRL blue I think. Yakima has an ex NS GP38 I think - I’d have to get my roster out and look. They are busier than Royal City. Seem to run 2 or 3 times a week. See www.columbiarail.com

usually three times a week, easy to chase, neat orchards etc when things are green. Out Date: 04/20/19 06:57 Re: Western Royal Line Author: Fred Chasable, sounds good. I "assume" the mill is in White Swan which would make sense.
Thanks again, Fred Date: 04/20/19 16:06 Re: Western Royal Line Author: scraphauler Yes - Yakima Forest Products. Outbound Lumber plus an inbound LPG transload. Line also handles lots of tallow, some DEF, and feed products.
