Western Railroad Discussion > BNSF detours again on the KCSDate: 05/12/19 16:11 BNSF detours again on the KCS Author: KB5WK Been seeing a lot of detours on the KCS lately on the Alliance and Greenville subs. Mostly TXU Martin Lake coal trains. Last weekend we had some intermodal trains from Los Angeles to Atlanta Q-LACAUG and Q-AUGLAC.
This week it was something else. Due to wash outs in the Ark City KS and other areas that are affecting the BNSF. They are detouring on the KCS at KC down to Texas Jct at Blanchard LA to Wylie World. Had two detours this morning. 05/12/2019 1) BNSF 6829 F-ALKC east meeting the KCS I-ATDA2. Copeville siding. 2) BNSF 6829 F-ALKC east at the East end of Copeville siding. Greenville sub. Just met the KCS I-ATDA2. 2) KCS 4707 I-ATDA2 west at CPT 194, Lake Lavon. KCS4707 slow rolled it out of Copeville siding and was able to get back in position to get a shot. Edited 1 time(s). ------------------------------------------------------- > Is that oil train headed for FWWR and points west? This oil train is not for the FWWR rails. BNSF detours that go south, probably to Beaumont or Galveston. Date: 05/12/19 18:49 Re: BNSF detours again on the KCS Author: bmarti7 Great series!
