UP Nampa Sub - EB Empty Grain Train
Author: philhoov

I caught this empty EB grain train at Medbury Hill, Idaho earlier this week.
Led by UP #8100, this train was on the downhill slide from Reverse, about 7 miles west of Hammett, Idaho and about 15 miles east of Mountain Home, Idaho.
The crew saw me standing on my windy hilltop perch and gave me a nice horn salute while passing under the signals.

Looks like a grain train with mostly UP grain cars, so probably a grain empty.

Glad to see the old style UP signals still standing there, at least for the time being.

Nice location choice.

I obviously have no idea what I'm talking about.
The hoppers appeared to be short; thus my speculation on them being cement hoppers.

The train was GSKAGE-12 (grain shuttle Kalama, WA - Solomon, KS).

Nice photos.  Will be handed off to KYLE at Solomon KS for a grain facility most likely at Downs KS.
