Western Railroad Discussion > New CN Anniversary T4's Traveling Through OklahomaDate: 05/19/19 10:54 New CN Anniversary T4's Traveling Through Oklahoma Author: BNSF-6432 On Friday I made a trip to Oklahoma City non railroad related. However there was some free time to check out the Red Rock Sub. Before I was about to head back towards Tulsa, I checked the Facebook Oklahoma group and noticed a heads up about new CN ET44's coming through Norman half an hour ago. After seeing that I decided to extend my stay a while which involved waiting on track and time, a southbound, and a switch move. For me, it worked out in my favor as the clouds were clearing away. I went for a broadside from an abandoned mall in Valley Brook, just north of Flynn Yard. I didn't think about chasing until it was too late, and lost the train coming through downtown.
1) CN 3216 leads the pack of the new units placed perfectly between two trees as the train waits for the conductor and a light out of the yard. 2) Not quite able to fit all 9 units in the shot as the autorack train passes the crossroads mall in Valley Brook. 3) The Valley Brook water tower stands in the distance with the 9th unit left behind brush Date: 05/19/19 10:58 Re: New CN Anniversary T4's Traveling Through Oklahoma Author: BNSF-6432 4) CN 3216, 3215, 3219, 3220, 3222, 3223 travel north to home rails where they'll begin working

We Canadians tend to be somewhat understated, especially when compared with you folks in the US. To some of us, that scheme is just fine. Some of the paint schemes I have seen on American units are, to me, too gaudy. Different strokes for different folks. Will MacKenzie Dundas, ON Date: 05/19/19 20:40 Re: New CN Anniversary T4's Traveling Through Oklahoma Author: RuleG What an uninspired scheme. That's the best CN could do for its 100th?

Larry Date: 05/19/19 23:05 Re: New CN Anniversary T4's Traveling Through Oklahoma Author: DuneCoon It’s just a decal. Behind it is the traditional painted “CN” logo, and the decal is applied after painting.
DC Date: 05/20/19 03:33 Re: New CN Anniversary T4's Traveling Through Oklahoma Author: hoggerdoug The logo "CN 100" is part of CN's Precision Scheduled Railroading. CN takes 100 days to move your load.
Doug Date: 05/20/19 07:23 Re: New CN Anniversary T4's Traveling Through Oklahoma Author: dantat13 These went to Memphis, TN to the CN. Lately CN has been running power moves towards Canada straight from Memphis. That is interesting. Nice pictures, buddy!!

Put 100 third graders (or 100 centenarians) in a room, and ask them to design you a celebratory paint scheme... Posted from Android Darren Boes Lethbridge, AB Southern Alberta Railfan |
