Sunny Monday Treats in La Crosse WI

Clear skies and refreshing temps greeted as I headed toward the tracks not knowing what was out and about, here's a clue, a BUNCH! Starting my day was CP 813, UP 8059 heading towards Portage and the Columbia Power Station. The morning sun was harsh on westbounds as the CP 8111 leads a CP 681 through La Crosse while the CSXT 93 leads a 1 / 380 into the CP Yard for some chores.

Heading over to Dresbach Minnesota I caught the CP 8633 leading a 2 / 380 grain train. I waited for the CP 8036 and his "little" 214 car combination Sand loads / Grain empties on train CP 383. Back at the Amtrak Depot, three CSXT motors lead a CP 587 back towards the oil fields.

Thanks for the post JIm That Dresbach location in A-1! Whoever maintains the landscaping along the ROW does nice work.

CP train 288 rolled into La Crosse behind yet another CSXT motor, CSXT 5260 along with a colorful consist. Back over the River to Dakota Minnesota for my last two. CP 8028 leads 200 plus car CP 580 oil load. My patience was rewarded as the clouds were popping all around and the UP LTA-41, UP 2005 out ran one as the train traveled towards Winona MN.
