Toto Tuesday: Limited Time Offer

The summer months bring sunsets to the northwest horizon, and with UP's Gibbon Cutoff (Kansas and Marysville Subdivisions) being southeast-northwest oriented the northwestward sunsets offer a very limited time to frame trains against them. Nearly a year ago a dear friend of mine and I were watching the sunset at Matador Road south of Home City, KS. Not really expecting a train, but having the camera ready just in case, coupled with some of mother natures magic led to the image below.

UP 6559 rolls briskly up the hill out of the Big Blue River Valley to the west, mother nature paints the skies above with dying storms and a dramatic sunset.
