Why it was so big, no idea. Went on duty there many times. Nice to see it, it's been awhile.

I remember climbing the steps with a little trepidation as there was a large German Shepard at the top of the stairs waiting to greet us. Kathy Blakemore was the operator and she would be the owner of said dog. Kathy gave me a great tour of the inner workings of the tower. She went on to become a Train Dispatcher in San Bernardino.
