KCS LWY101 eastbound this morning with 3 new KCSM ES44AC's. Plano TX 06/16/2019.  iPhone 8 video.
They were going slow as it had rained a lot in the early morning hours in North Texas. Then inceased the speed after they cleared the siding at Plano.

They have stickers on these engines saying not to be used in USA. Mexico only.  KCS Wylie operations will add these engines to I-DASL intermodal to St Luis Mexico. I have an engineer friend who had some on his train a few weeks ago, and he said the ATM told him 100 times not to start them under any circumstance. LOL.

Will they ever use these new engines in the USA after a certain perioid of time?  I see many older KCS Mexico ES44AC's and SD70ACe's on the Greenville and Alliance sub-divisions in Texas.

Me too, reminds me of watching trains go by my house in my childhood.  I encourage anyone who has the opportunity to record trains like this on increasingly rare jointed rail to please share.

Do Not Start In USA most likely due to save some tax obligations upon delivery of an "operating locomotive".

No, they are not Tier 4, nor Tier 4 Credit locomotives.
