to next week. Out Date: 07/05/19 20:43 Re: 5.0 followed by 7.1 earthquake searles valley Author: Kimball Strong roller in Laguna Niguel. Knocked 6" of water out of my swimming pool in seconds. 5" wave still active 15. - 20 minutes later

Posted from Android Date: 07/05/19 20:47 Re: 5.0 followed by 7.1 earthquake searles valley Author: MrMRL USGS earthquake site being absolutely blasted with hits right now, hard to update the pages, but 6.9 or 7.1 seems to be the main shock number range at the moment. with a 5.0 foreshock at 8:16, 6.9 (or 7.1 still being calculated) at 8:19, and now half a dozen 4.0-4.7 aftershocks...
This one will have ramifications on BNSF's Cajon Sub, Mojave Sub, & Needles Sub. ~ Mr. MRL Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 07/05/19 20:55 by MrMRL. I suspect that will change now, just like it did yesterday after the quake.

Apparently the train crews aren't feeling it- in the distance you can see a westbound continue into the yard. At 20:24, a UP westbound with double stacks goes by. On the Tehachapi webcam, the crossing gate arm starts whipping at 8:20:15. mapboy Date: 07/05/19 21:13 Re: 5.0 followed by 7.1 earthquake searles valley Author: BobP Not to mention the two LA aqueducts and the DC EHV Pacific Intertie from WA that go west of ground zero.

Of course that was before this evening's shaker.

Train ____, bring your train to a stop as quickly as possible" to each train on the line. Was a surreal experience...learned of quake from a friend's text moments later.
