If it was radio failure, which one are they going to hang? A little too much dependence on radio these days where hand signs are a lost art. The frame of that old GP held up pretty well.

Didn't say where he got that information.

Date: 07/12/19 08:09 Re: UP pops a wheelie in Central Texas Author: fbe If it was a coupling accident it takes a notable amount of time for the independent brake air applied from the lead locomotive to reach the 7th unit back. There is a lot of momentum in all that power to work with.

Nearest yard is about 8 miles north (Bellmead), nearest industry is a mile and a half north or so. train is in "downtown" Hewitt, had 3 crossings blocked. I wonder if they had a "near miss" at one of the crossings and plugged it.
