i have lived across the bnsf's seligman sub on and off for approx. 20 yrs.  eventhough longer trains are running in this day and age, the velocity doesn't seem to ME to have increased.  i still see/hear numerous recrews (dog catches), see trains taking hits/delays just like i did years ago, and still hear of terminals that are plugged and need "train spacing" just like it was before the frequent use of dpu's.  i really wonder what the impact is of these 10-15k trains are..........

How does this compare to last year on the number of trains since BNSF instituted PSR-style policies on train consists?
