Fire on Donner

Todays train 6 and other freights were delayed for a reported fire somewhere on the hill. Anyone have more info on this?

Was called the "Gold" fire, between Secret Town and Gold Run on WB I-80. Happily, it didn't go much beyond 1/2 acre.

A portion of the freeway was closed for a short time to allow access for fire fighters.

Cause either hasn't been determined or hasn't been discussed publicly yet.

I believe it was a semi whose cab was completely engulfed in flame.

There were two separate fires on I-80.

On Sunday was the fire between Gold Run & Secret Town. Then this morning there was another fire on the east side of Colfax toward Long Ravine.
