What a difference a day (and change of wind direction) makes
Author: kyrasmus

The difference in air quality in Spokane between Monday and Tuesday evenings was incredible. Monday's winds bought increasingly heavy waves of smoke into the valley. The sunset was so red that my camera almost couldn't process the color. Just before sunset caught a grain loads making the left turn through Latah Jct. heading for Marshall and Cheney. On Tuesday winds shifted around to the west/southwest and cleared the skies out for the day, creating blue skies in the last hours of light for another grain loads heading west. Still by sunset, smoke was creeping in again and was making today likely look smoky.

I hear you on that smoke. Glad it cleared up for you on Tuesday. Now waiting for the HOT temps to go away.
