Western Railroad Discussion > The "newer" GE's at IRMDate: 08/13/19 11:09 The "newer" GE's at IRM Author: EL833 It was mentioned in a below comment that it was good to see some GEs being preserved. I'll concure, and to that end here is one of the morning lineups at the IRM Diesel Days event. All 3 would eventually pull trains for the crowds. The TTI U28B is there due to it's CB&Q heritage. It would make what I think was it's "maiden run" on a caboose hop this past Sunday morning.

SantaFeRuss Date: 08/13/19 20:40 Re: The "newer" GE's at IRM Author: GN599 Glad to see they snagged that ex-Q U28B. I used to try and keep tabs on her, not many left and I doubt many people knew about her. Kudos to IRM for not letting one slip through the cracks, this made my day👍🏻

I remember when it was new and looked as fresh as it does now at the museum. We got to see some of the B boats on freights west out of Lincoln. Maybe I had my hands on this unit as well.
