Here's a PSR Train for Ya!

A MFWWC that is 161 loads 43 empties 18115 tons and 14792 feet. Running 4x2x2. That one will be fun from Yuma to Colton.... It does have the UP1983 in the mid train DP consist from what I understand...

You gotta wonder if  half that train would have been a long ways off while they were still gathering the 2nd half.

Wow!  Years ago that would have been refered to as "mortgage lifter". Some of those were common on the CGW and a few others. I remember watching a westbound CNW manifest roll by me in Dixon, Illinois one summer with 210 cars. That was in '67 so I doubt that all were easy-rollers.

Been great on the SP, set the head end out in Colton and the rear in Old Colton, sure glad all these
monster trains are making it so much better.

Depending on timing, it's usually not too bad. Pull the train into a track, pull out the other end, cut away from the mids and shove the head end of the train into another track.

Probably to keep have having to run a MFWWCX.  One of the PSR goals is to not use additional reasources to run extra trains.

I think you are 100% correct Allen. They loaded this train up in El Paso, Tx. Thats the new operating plan bigger trains which isn't a bad idea. This is a PSR train.
