I wonder how many of those boxes were empties? That's a pretty low HPT ratio, and I also wonder how many sidings on the LA&SL that would fit into? Judging from the number of platforms and amount of "husky" stacks or whatever the non-articulated wells are called, I would guess this train including power was about 10,500' long?

The 2nd DP unit was added at Green River, and an additional unit was later added trailing to the headend consist at Yermo. As pictured in the video the train was 8,401 tons and 10,104 feet long.
