Nice video.  Sure do miss seeing end cab switchers as a part of everyday RRing.

They're busy too, that industrial park generates a lot of traffic, and jobs.

Here is a photo I took at East Augusta (Emporia Sub) on the BNSF in 2012. It shows the two switchers on their way to Kingman to be delivered to the Kingman Terminal Railroad.

SP would run 4 SW1500s up the hill from City of Industry towards Pomona and it made quite a drumming, hearing 4 together going all out.  Like 4 SD39s and their bass sounds switching Mojave, something we won't hear again.

There's just something about 12 cylinder engines that just sounds so good!

Interesting that they decided to install vertical and centered twin sealed-beam headlights on 1541 (ex-UPY 1149, exx-SP 2571) but left the horizontal and off-center arrangement intact on 1542 (ex-UPY 1063, exx-SP 2454).

Wonder where they came up with that Prime PM-990, not exactly the most commonplace of horns.

Conrail ran sets of 4 to 5 SW1500's on road freights over the Boston and Albany in the very early days of the railroad.  They had AAR switcher trucks and apparently rode failrly poorly....but they could be seen dragging 70 cars+  up the hill at East Brookfield....what a racket..... I believe they largely ran east of Springfield, MA I have pictures if anyone wants to see them...and in fact posted some a few years back here on T.O.

The four SW1500s on the SP replaced the four C415s that used to run on that thing. Crew have 12 hours
to get from CofI to West Colton and some days barely made it.
