Still Catching Up For The Week On The BNSF Lakeside Sub
Author: Ritzville

It was a somewhat cloudy day in Ritzville, WA on the BNSF Northern Transcon with a high-low of 50-29. Possible rain tomorrow. With all the MoW action and taking my neighbor to doctor's appointments with her car in the shop, have become behind this week in pictures. Slowing catching up though, lol. Lots of morning work windows at times this week. Equipment was gone from the backyard except one this morning which is being repaired on site. Here are some trains from Tuesday and Wednesday.

11/5/2019

1. WB 1106am grain train with BNSF 8583 -7150 on the point with DPU. BNSF 8583 has funny looking stripes.
2. WB 1118am grain train with BNSF 4550-7222-3916 on the pull with no DPU.
3. WB 1249pm grain train with BNSF 4270-7446 on the point with DPU. Off to Spokane.

Nice series, were those wb grain w/o dpu empty? must be a first as loads go west, emptys go east, and that 2x1x1 potash train must be a reroute, must have got on BNSF from UP in Spokane.

Thanks Christina! Jayman, all WB grain trains are full. Sometimes if they have 3 or 4 units on the point, then there is no DPU, which is subject to change. Two units on the point, for sure a DPU.

Thanks,
Larry

Jayman,

The hoppers in larry's photos indicate more of grain or a lesser dense material than potash..  The cars ahead and behind the mid train DPU are aluminum grain cars that have been out for a good 20+ years..
