Heard a little while ago via Trains Live Feed that UP 4141 will complete its final bout of service and then be donated for permanent display to the Bush Library in College Station.  Library officials hope that this time next year they will be able to invite friends back to the library for the ribbon cutting of the new display.  It will be displayed near the Conference Center on the Bush Library grounds.

Will the UP remove all the usable major components prior to it being "stuffed & mounted"?

Yes, 4141 is being removed from 4014 consist at Palestine, Tex on Saturday.

It will then go to N Little Rock to be gutted and become a “dummy” locomotive,
then towed to College Station at the Bush Library.

4141 will be a fine addition to the Presidential Library complex.
