I was down there a couple of weeks ago and the longest trains I saw were still under 8,000 feet

There are some eastward "don't fits", trains longer than some passing tracks .  However with  all the work done to lengthen passing sidings on the Baird and  Toyah subs to the west they are becoming less of a factor and still work is ongoing to extend more sidings..  And some new sidings have also been added.  I under stand there will not be any that won't clear a 9,000 ft train. Some like the one in Eastland on the Baird sub which used to be 6,997 ft is now 14,150.ft.
