Coos Bay Rail Link #1916
Author: Resolution

Hi All,
Went past Eugene yard today and spotted CBRL #1916 sitting at the north end of the arrivals yard (30 yard) on its own. I looks immaculate like it has just be reworked.
Anyone aware of  the history of this locomotive? I know it used to be a WRIX Western Rail Inc locomotive and wondering if it has just been repainted.

Regards

According to the CBRL roster on Trainweb, it started life as high-hood N&W GP35 #210.  It was chopnosed during a stint on the Great Smoky Mountains Ry.

It was painted, a Dash 3 N-Force installed and the engine converted to roots blown.  No it wasnt rebuilt.  EX NPR #3510
