the frequency was a bit quiet  this day,about a train every 45 minutes

the day was very chilly and breezy the sun came out after lunch

 the afternoon storm cropped up later

 three private switch engines at various locations ..cozad ,gothenburg and lexington i seem to recall

 were these were former Southern Railway SD units from the late 1950s or early 1960s

Nice stuff, thanks for posting.  To answer the question, two of the three you pictured were ex-Southern SD24's.  The first one was
rebuilt by the ICG, the second one was rebuilt for the CNW, I'm not sure who did that.  The ex-MRL engine I believe is an ex-SP
SD9 MRL chopped at Livingston.  I can be corrected on any of this.

yes my colleage mentioned it may have been an ex SP SD 9  too
