Author: goneon66 here is one of those w/b stack/manifest combo's in a 2x2x2 configuration. even luckier was that the dispatcher ran this train w/b down kingman canyon on the #2 track. w/b's usually go down the steeper #1 track through the canyon. the location is just w/of kingman, az on the bnsf's seligman sub..............

Stash him at Berry until there's no opposing traffic on #2 track? Anyway, it makes for a nice video! mapboy Date: 11/20/19 01:51 Re: getting lucky in the canyon........ Author: cookdb3 Thanks for sharing. I am hoping to be there in next month and also hope to see you there too!
From Barry Cook Yass NSW Australia. Date: 11/20/19 03:03 Re: getting lucky in the canyon........ Author: Hookdragkick Damn you're putting out some awesome audio too! Lol. Your microphone is amazing at capturing the rail squeal, taxed-dynamics and brakeshoes roasting to death. Usually the squeal on video doesn't resonate like it does in person. Time start viewing with earplugs now.
Date: 11/20/19 07:40 Re: getting lucky in the canyon........ Author: ntharalson My question is; where do you park? As I recall, on the "west" side of the canyon, there's no place for that, so I've always driven the "old" road between the tracks.
I do enjoy watchng your videos from this area, thanks for posting. Nick Tharalson, Marion, IA Date: 11/20/19 11:58 Re: getting lucky in the canyon........ Author: goneon66 thanks for the comments everybody.
-mapboy: most likely scenario was that m.o.w. had main#1 so the dspr ran the train down #2 at w/berry....... -hook: i am pleased with the external mic. i sure hope you can enjoy a few brews while watching/listening to the videos...... -nick: if you look on google maps, you can see a few places to park on rt. 66 off of the e/b lanes. just watch out for the snakes if it is warm out........... 66 |
