Western Railroad Discussion > Coal empty on the N. Fork BranchDate: 11/19/19 13:44 Coal empty on the N. Fork Branch Author: SP8595 Went out scoping around for a new location between the sidings of Bridgeport and Roubideau on Union Pacific's North Fork Branch that runs South out of Grand Jct. CO this past Sunday (11/17)
Caught a Long Beach, CA to W. Elk Mine empty coal train heading Eastbound down the branch around Milepost 35. It had 90 cars, a train with 105 would work a little better to view the rear DP's in the background. As the train headed around the curve following alongside the Gunnison River, the Sun angle wasn't the best. ----------------Can't let Jeff have all the fun with non-drone shots:}--------------------- Date: 11/19/19 13:54 Re: Coal empty on the N. Fork Branch Author: gp60 Beautiful I love that part of Colorado DW Aurora,CO

Scenes like this are why I want to model the Grand Junction area of the D&RGW. Date: 11/20/19 05:34 Re: Coal empty on the N. Fork Branch Author: bobk Great shots!
