Western Railroad Discussion > Echoes of the FriendlyDate: 11/25/19 10:21 Echoes of the Friendly Author: CBRL Once in a while you get a reminder of the old SP out on the Brooklyn Sub.
1. UP 1124, ex-SP 9721, a GP60 built in 1991, has avoided the UP shield over the front SP letters, at least so far. 2.-3. The engineer of UP 6298, ex-SP 252, shows off his alternating ditch lights, much to the delight of the photographer! Locations are under Chambers Blvd. overpass and at the Amtrak Depot, both in Eugene. Thanks for looking! Tom Trent Eugene, OR Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 11/25/19 10:25 by CBRL. Rob Date: 11/25/19 17:55 Re: Echoes of the Friendly Author: CBRL Rob,
Don't remember the symbol but it was a bunch of empties from Roseville or West Colton. I did catch a northbound CORP train on Thursday down in Douglas County, using three vintage SD70Ms. Tom Trent Eugene, OR Date: 11/26/19 23:40 Re: Echoes of the Friendly Author: OregonOldGuy Always interesting to see them use the depot track to get to the yards!
Thanks, Tom. Rob |
