2 Days On The Wisconsin Southern

On the 12th and 13th we spent 2 days on the WSOR around Horicon getting anything we could. The morning of thr 12th started with a lucky catch of the T004. This train is typically out of Horicon around 4 am and we were lucky to catch it leaving at 7am. Power was 2 WSOR SD40-2's and HLCX 6313. We followed it all the way to Ackerville before coming back up to Horicon in time to see the L599 leaving to head to Ackerville. We followed the L599 down to Hartford and headed back to Horicon in time to see the L595 coming back. About an hour later the L593 headed west towards Fox Lake with a matching pair of GP38-2's. On the 13th we started the day with a small chase of L595 north out of Horicon before coming back and chasing the L599 towards Ackerville with an SD40-2 leader on this day. As per usual the L599 met the L249 from Milwaukee at Ackerville and swapped trains before leaving. If one plays their cards right the WSOR can be a very rewarding railroad to photograpgh. Enjoy!
