Fun seeing an old Southern boxcar in the mix. Haven't seen one of those in a while.

I'm guessing those boxcars are carrying Mexican beer, added at El Paso, destined for the LA market.  PSR is evident with the many autoracks included on this train.  Interesting combo, beer and autos!

Christina, are there any sidings left in AZ that are the old +/- 8300', or have they all been lengthened? Seems like there were two short ones between Yuma and Dome?  I believe there are a few between Yuma and Coachellla that have not been, but not sure. And at WC the longest receiving tracks are +/- 10,250' long, while the longest departure track is +/- 9,600' long. (any corrections/updates welcome)

Only one siding left between Yuma and Dome, Kinter at '8487, two main tracks now Yuma to Blaisdell MP746 + or -. I "think" some of the older fifty footers MAY have cotton in them? Nice catch.

I wonder how long it took to hump and assemble this train in Ft Worth.

Just a side thought.  This monster took only about three minutes to pass.  It would be great to inform those idiots who try to beat such trains to a crossing to realize that three minutes is not worth the risk to your life or your family's life.

Probably not as long as you would think.  MFWWC-27 departed Ft. Worth with the 4 UP motors and 83 cars.  It set out 16 cars at El Paso's Alfalfa Yard.  It then picked up 99 cars, plus FXE 4648 and 4061, at Santa Teresa, NM.  The two FXE motors and 99 cars were previously the entire consist of MKBST-26 (Kirby, TX - Santa Teresa, NM).
