It was another cold breezy day in Ritzville, WA on theBNSF Northern Transcon with snow showers and rain mix. The high-low was 38-32 with snow a rain with .80 in the rain guage. Frigid temps on the way. Here are some of the trains from today.

1/11/2020

1. A quick shot of the full moon over the backyard. Moon came out of the clouds for a short period of time.

2. Grab shot of EB 930am manifest with BNSF 7???-5961-9736 on the point with no DPU in snowfall.

5. WB 950am manifest with BNSF 9097, KCS 4185 and AMTK 180 on the pull with no DPU in the snow. First time to see an AMTK unit on a frieight train.

Hi Larry, thanks for braving the elements.

I did a quick cruise through your photos, always looking for something unusual.  When I saw an Amtrak unit I thought,"that's unusual enough", I wonder if Larry has seen Amtrak on a freight before.  Then I checked your captions and sure enough, first time.

Nice dramatic snow shot in #3, really like that.  Not many times can you get a passenger unit in a freight train anymore.
