Derailment at Knapp, WI
Author: dsrc512

A friend sent photos from Facebook of derailment at speed (cars stacked vertically) at Knapp, WI.  The village is roughly 150 miles east of Minneapolis on US 12 and a bit north of I-94.  No details but photos show covered hoppers and no visible signs of fire.  Derailment occurred around 5:00 p.m. CT. today.  All information is second hand.

Google found this article: https://www.weau.com/content/news/Derailment-causes-train-car-pileup-in-Dunn-County--566926751.html .  It states it was a Union Pacific train, and that there were no reported injuries.

They must have been running track speed!   One TV channel reports that rail was "tossed several hundred feet".
I am wondering what the investigators will find.....

Kinda looks like my toy train set.
When I was a little kid When ever I was setting it up.
I would just pile them up like this.
