I was lucky to have TO member TCNR drive me up to Medford Oregon today in some real crappy weather to pick up my computer in the repair shop. Apple replaced the logic board in my I Mac 27 at no cost and I think I am back in business. On the way up we found the Weed bound CORP train crossing the Ager Beswick Road between Montague and Hornbrook. My first train shot of 2020.

This is an interesting photo--notice the RR bridge next to the crossing signal.  At one time, this section had 2 tracks, or was intended to, by the width of the bridge.  I wonder when the track was there, or removed?

In its heyday, this was THE line for SP between SF and Portland, OR.  All freight and passenger trains pounded their way over this pass, including the best SP "varnish" trains.  I wish we had film of those days.....

Nice work. Next move will be to see if the new board will do B&W. Looks like snow is coming your way so dig those boots out.

The old town site of Ager was a dozen feet behind us, no doubt there was a track or two there, the bridge is somewhat dated by it's construction technique. I couldn't find a name for the creek, it's around MP 390. There's one of those ubiquitous brick buildings that houses amplifiers for the cross country Internet right next to the location. Also a couple of Mountain Pyrenee sheep dogs.

The map is great, there's only one road there now with a driveway every few hundred feet. The corner of Frederick and Alice can be identified by the water trough for the goats.

Wonder where you went Bob . . . great to have you back . . as a fellow Mac user, it's amazing how you have to drive all the way to Medford to pick up your repaird computer  . . but hey the price was right and you got IOTD  on our first photo of 2020 . . great way to start the new decade!

Bob used up all the logic in the old board and had to get a new, full, logic board.
