Monday Meets: Hello John Deere 544j
Author: santafe199

Poking some fun on a crummy, overcast day. This ain’t exactly 2 trains meeting for ‘Monday Meets’. But doesn’t the meeting of 2 internal combustion diesel engines count? Oh Deere John, I guess I have stretched things a bit…

1. & 2. UP 7015 is sneaking into town with not much of a local. It’s passing by a string of hoppers that it will be attending to shortly. (see: https://www.trainorders.com/discussion/read.php?1,4939660 ).

3. I’d like y'all to meet Mr John Deere model 544j! Not exactly a RR locomotive. It is however, a diesel

Thanks for looking, anyway!

Nice shot, Lance!  That is how we used to move our hoppers around for loading on the Katy, then the UP.

Photo 1 shows the new frac sand elevator facility in Eaton, CO. They building of the yard continues as now the grading looks complete on south end awaiting installation of the south ladder and then tie in to mainline.
