Author: 2839Canadian Reading various postings on the internet, it is somewhat confusing whether the Fillmore and Western run their excursion trains west all the way to Santa Paula. The F&W bought the line to Santa Paula, however the Southern Pacific RR abandoned the portion between Santa Paula and Fillmore prior to the purchase.Does the Santa Paula Branch still connect to the Coast Line?Other than the passenger excursions, does the F&W run any freight on this line?Many thanks!

The only connection to any other rail route is Montalvo and the Montalvo Wye. The freight action on the branch consits of one customer in Santa Paula, Spears Plastics. The Oxnard local will deliver one to two hoppers approx. once a month.
