Stockton tower today
Author: The-late-EMD

Went by my favorite trespassing spot(according to U P cop) to see if the tie gang was still around. They wasn’t but the old ties they left along the r o w was been used for heat and cooking this morning by the homeless campers. Basically it was a big ass barn fire. Crostete could be smelled for blocks. And not a Up are BNSF cop in sight.

When the tower was open, was it staffed by BNSF or UP?

Thank you in advance.

BNSF as the San Joaquin Valley RR, predecessor to the ATSF, was the second RR at the site and therefore had to protect the crossing.

Why would anyone be surprised? UP leaves piles of ties  in the wake of MOW. Nothing new. Nothing like being a good neighbor, LOL,
