Western Railroad Discussion > Two trains before and after sunsetDate: 02/23/20 17:39 Two trains before and after sunset Author: bmarti7 I was hoping for a nice sunset shot tonight but the skies were clouding up ahead of tomorrow's return to winter. But I was fortunate to catch two eastbound coal trains, one before sunset and one after. The first location is the Lyons Road crossing west of Mandan. The BNSF 5627 leads the C-WTMBEN, about 20 minutes before sunset. I used the flash to get the reflection on the gates and it brought out some color in the dirt road as well. The second shot is a loaded coal train crossing the Missouri River bridge between Mandan and Bismarck. This shot was about 20 minutes after sunset, taken from the BSC campus. Thanks for looking.
