Two trains before and after sunset
Author: bmarti7

I was hoping for a nice sunset shot tonight but the skies were clouding up ahead of tomorrow's return to winter. But I was fortunate to catch two eastbound coal trains, one before sunset and one after. The first location is the Lyons Road crossing west of Mandan. The BNSF 5627 leads the C-WTMBEN, about 20 minutes before sunset. I used the flash to get the reflection on the gates and it brought out some color in the dirt road as well. The second shot is a loaded coal train crossing the Missouri River bridge between Mandan and Bismarck. This shot was about 20 minutes after sunset, taken from the BSC campus. Thanks for looking.

Nice before and after sunset shots Bill. Your sky looked like yesterday in Ritzville before the cold front blew thru this noon with high winds and rain.
