CNW Heritage in Colorado today
Author: ns2557

Received word last night that the UP's CNW Heritage Unit was on a NB out of Trinidad Co on the BNSF today. We decided to go over to Pueblo in hopes of catching this one as it went north. After about 2 hours or so of just hanging around Pblo we finally got shots at a few spots along the way. Here are 3 I thought I'd share.

Shot 1.  NB on the ex DRGW Main out of Pueblo along I25 near the 13th St Exit. BNSF 9301 leads with UP 9055-UP 1995- UP 6538-BNSF 9716 and 111 empty Oil Cars. This trains symbol was UPMCTMC4-17A. Anyone know what PMC and TMC are on this one?

Shot 2.  A little farther north on I25 finds us at the Dillon Dr exit. Nice sweeping curve's here for both NB's and SB's.

Shot 3. And a going away shot of the train as it passes us. Train stopped at Tapp behind a NB UP Wind Energy Tower Train and sat for awhile before continuing north. All in great light.

It turned into a great day in Pblo for us as we caught another 5 or 6 trains. msns2557 has some she is going to share of at least 2 others.  Thanks for looking.  Ben

Nice shots! Could "TMC" be Tampa, CO. It's a bulk oil  loading facility on the Brush Sub east of Denver.

Tampa is indeed the place you are mentioning James. Was told that but it didn't register at first. But the PMC is a new one. Thanks for that. Ben
