CP Power Car
Author: ATSF5669

Sunday morning before "church" (now confined to the iPhone screen) my bride and I were headed from Catoosa to the church building to make a pic of the empty parking lot, and crossed over the Cherokee Sub, which had a w/b passing under the overpass. With no real hurry to get there we headed for Tulsa Jct to get a shot of it. Turns out it was the local coming into Tulsa (pic 1). The last two cars were these CP power cars. Any idea what they are, what they're for, and who outfitted the boxcars with all this hardware?

We've seen this type of box car on CP officer's specials and their Holiday Train. You can see the HEP connection on the end of the car. These look brand new built by contractor?

I believe these are the autonomous track geometry/analysis cars that they're using. Saw a photo in another thread of one spliced between stacks and autoracks on a CP train.
