Western Railroad Discussion > A&M operations?Date: 03/24/20 12:23 A&M operations? Author: 3rdswitch . . . MAY be heading out tomorrow of WED for some "social distancing". Can't decide whether to head east or north? Am pretty sick of sitting at home. Wife tested positive for virus twelve days ago, she is one hundred percent improved and I virtually never had any symptoms. Enough is enough. Was wondering which end of the A&M's turns out of Springdale are daylight at this time? I know it flip flops now and again. Also radio freqs? Thanks for any info.

Ask your doctor, not the actor who plays a doctor on TV, if you should go railfanning. Please don't come here if you choose to ignore your Dr's recommendation. Edited 2 time(s). Author: Ohiorailfan I was down there a few months ago and they were heading north a little after 8am out of Springdale to head to Monnett. Do what you enjoy and don't let anyone tell you otherwise regardless of the current situation

Everyone that doesn’t need to travel for work or to help a loved one needs to simply suck it up and stay home for a few weeks. Its a small sacrifice during a real emergency when people’s lives are at stake. Why is that such a difficult concept for people to grasp? Posted from iPhone Edited 1 time(s). Outside activites are allowed. You still have rights. I'm not selfish at all I'm just not going to be one of those people who bows down to the government. If I feel fine and am not sick, I'm still doing what I please. This hobby is socially distant as it is

Author: Ohiorailfan For me to make you sick means I would have to be in contact with you and trust me you won't have to worry about that. I stay far away from stupid people!

Author: DJ-12 Many portions of the country are already under shelter in place orders, which means exactly that unless you need to travel. You may not have been paying attention, but many people who pick this up are asymptotic and can spread it unknowingly without ever having symptoms. This bug can live on hard surfaces for an extended period of time. If you are unknowingly carrying it and go out and touch the gas pump you can spread it. If you give your credit card to a drive thru worker when you buy McLunch you can spread it to them. If you go out unnecessarily and catch this or spread it and u or someone else ends up on a ventilator that could have been used by someone else, perhaps someone elderly, then that is on you. That’s not bowing down to the government. Its called using common sense and exercising some consideration for those around you for a few weeks.
You seem to have the freedom to travel a lot and put up some very nice pictures. Good for you. Now its time to suck it up for a few weeks and exercise some restraint for the sake of everyone else. It’s not all about you. We are all part of a community in this country and that includes TO. Exercise some restraint and judgement. This will hopefully be over in a few weeks and things can get back to normal. Just my $.02. Date: 03/24/20 18:35 Re: A&M operations? Author: Ohiorailfan I'm not going to argue with you anymore however I will say this. I work for amazon so therfore I can't suck it up because I am considered essential. On my day off I will partake in my outdoor activities alone and away from people in my own car. That's my point I am trying to make that some don't understand. I don't gather in groups while I take pictures. I hardly associate with people in the first place and I am very catious around gas pumps even before all this started

Would that be the Amazon that has had Eight of their employees test positive today for COVID-19?
