Self quarantine part 1.
Author: lilwes

Went out yesterday and today to watch trains while the county is in a "Safe at home" order for the next 30 days.  One of the things you can do is "Outdoor actives alone or with family. Do not play non the playground equipment".  Well I'm to old for the playground so it was off to a secluded spot along the UP Kansas Sub.  All pictures were taken at Midina, KS.  That's 1 mile west of Perry, KS.  The UP 1989 was on a WB manifest. CN 5749 was on one a coal bucket.  UP 1764 was on the Lawrence local, LMC40.  Looks like I will be spending a lot of time at the tracks for the next month.  Everyone stay safe out there.
Thanks for looking, Wes

You're fortunate to get a nice variation of power.

I seen the double coal train as well. It was going through a 15 mph slow order.  must of taken him 10 minutes to go by.

"They" just said on WIBW that Riley County is formulating a Stay at Home order...I don't think sitting by the KP for however long will lead to the same results... Good luck and stay safe.

I was hoping i was gonna ge the 1989 for a long time Rio Grande friend, but missed it as I had no idea it was here.

Some lady from the health department came on TV last night and explained that "Sunday drives" were not okay as an outdoor activity.  So I guess I'll have to stay home.

Nice catches Wes. I'm glad you got out. Not sure I agree with the Sunday drive thing but I also will submit to our government because God's Word tells me to (Romans13)

Thanks for helping with that other situation as well. Stay safe.

It's our job to "document" the rail movements in the country to show the world things are getting to where they need to go in this time of uncertainty.
